These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Private Vault mobile application (“the App”), developed and operated by Terentev Apps (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Private Vault, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
2. Description of the App
Private Vault allows users to store files locally on their device and, if enabled, sync encrypted vault files to their personal iCloud Drive. The App does not operate any server that stores or processes user vault content.
3. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- The content you store in the App.
- Ensuring your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, and any passcode, PIN, or biometric authentication used within the App.
We do not monitor, review, access, or control the content you store in the App.
4. Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of all files and content you store in Private Vault. We do not claim ownership rights over your content.
5. iCloud Drive Backup and Sync
If you enable iCloud Drive backup/sync:
- Your encrypted vault files are stored in your personal iCloud Drive within the App’s iCloud container.
- Apple provides and manages the iCloud infrastructure.
- We do not access, control, or manage your iCloud Drive data.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID and iCloud account.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
The App may offer paid subscriptions and/or lifetime access through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
- Payments are processed exclusively by Apple.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your Apple ID account will be charged at confirmation of purchase or after any applicable free trial period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
We do not store, process, or have access to your payment information.
7. Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert into a paid subscription at the applicable rate.
8. No Warranty
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from data loss.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to content, or device-related issues arising from the use of the App.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your data where necessary.
10. Modifications and Termination
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in your country of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles.
